Official Sweepstakes Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY.
1. Sweepstakes Period
The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00 PM Mountain Time on August 12, 2026 and closes at 11:59 PM Mountain Time on November 15, 2026 (the “Sweepstakes Period”).
Entries received before or after the Sweepstakes Period will not be eligible.
The Sponsor’s computer system will be the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes .
2. Eligibility
The Sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of Alberta, Canada who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.
Employees, representatives, agents and immediate family members of the Sponsor, and persons residing in the same household as those individuals, are not eligible to enter.
The winner must be able to pick up the prize at Mystic Dawn Ranch in Irma, AB. unless otherwise agreed to by the Sponsor.
The Sweepstakes is void where prohibited by law.
3. How to Enter
To enter, visit MysticDawn.ca/giveaway during the Sweepstakes Period and complete the official entry form.
Entrants will be asked to provide their first name and valid email address.
There is a limit of one entry per person during the Sweepstakes Period.
No purchase is necessary to enter.
Automated, fraudulent, duplicate, incomplete or otherwise invalid entries may be disqualified at the Sponsor’s sole discretion.
4. Prize
There is one (1) prize available to be won.
The prize consists of:
One quarter beef share from Mystic Dawn Beef, professionally processed, cut and wrapped.
The prize is expected to include an assortment of beef cuts that may include ground beef, steaks, roasts and other cuts.
The approximate packaged weight of the prize is 130 lb.
The approximate retail value of the prize is $1,900 CAD.
Because individual animals vary in size and yield, the exact packaged weight, number of packages and mix of cuts may vary. The approximate value stated above is based on the Sponsor’s reasonable estimate of the value of the prize.
Processing, cutting and wrapping costs are included in the prize.
The winner is responsible for collecting the prize from Mystic Dawn Ranch in Irma, AB.on a date arranged with the Sponsor.
Delivery is not included.
Transportation of the prize from the pickup location and appropriate refrigerated or frozen storage after pickup are the responsibility of the winner.
The prize has no cash redemption value, may not be sold or transferred before pickup and cannot be substituted by the winner.
If the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, the Sponsor may substitute a prize of equal or greater approximate value, subject to applicable law.
5. Winner Selection and Odds of Winning
On or about 11:59 PM Mountain Time on November 15, 2026, the Sponsor will conduct a random draw from all eligible entries received during the Sweepstakes Period.
One potential winner will be selected.
The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
The selected entrant is not considered the winner until all requirements of these Official Sweepstakes Rules have been satisfied.
The Competition Bureau specifically requires Sweepstakes operators to disclose important information affecting the chance of winning and to select winners either randomly or on the basis of skill.
6. Notification of Selected Entrant
The Sponsor will attempt to contact the selected entrant using the email address provided with the entry.
The selected entrant must respond within 72 hours of the Sponsor’s first notification attempt.
The Sponsor may require the selected entrant to provide reasonable proof of identity, age and Alberta residency.
To be confirmed as the winner, the selected entrant must meet all eligibility requirements, and complete any declaration or release reasonably required by the Sponsor.
If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not respond within the required time, does not meet the eligibility requirements, otherwise fails to comply with these Official Sweepstakes Rules, the selected entrant may be disqualified and another eligible entrant may be randomly selected.
This process may continue until an eligible winner is confirmed.
7. Prize Pickup
The confirmed winner will receive instructions from Mystic Dawn Beef regarding prize pickup.
The winner should have sufficient freezer or cold-storage capacity available before collecting the prize.
Failure to collect the prize within the agreed period may result in forfeiture of the prize and selection of another winner, subject to applicable law.
8. Winner Announcement
After the winner has been confirmed, the Sponsor may announce that the Sweepstakes has been completed and that a winner has been selected.
The Sponsor will obtain any consent required before publicly using the winner’s full name, photograph, likeness or testimonial for promotional purposes.
9. Personal Information
Personal information submitted through the Sweepstakes will be collected and used for purposes reasonably related to administering the Sweepstakes , including verifying eligibility, communicating with entrants, selecting and contacting a potential winner and awarding the prize.
Where an entrant separately provides marketing consent, the entrant’s information may also be used by Mystic Dawn Beef to send marketing communications in accordance with that consent.
Personal information will otherwise be handled according to Mystic Dawn Beef's Privacy Policy and applicable privacy laws.
Canadian and Alberta privacy regulators emphasize that organizations should clearly identify what personal information is collected and the purposes for which it will be used.
10. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to verify the eligibility of any entrant and the validity of any entry.
Any attempt to manipulate, interfere with or abuse the entry process, including the use of multiple email addresses, automated entries, bots, scripts or false information, may result in disqualification.
If the Sweepstakes cannot be conducted as reasonably intended because of fraud, technical failure, unauthorized intervention or another circumstance beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control, the Sponsor reserves the right, subject to applicable law, to modify, suspend or terminate the Sweepstakes .
If the Sweepstakes is terminated early, the Sponsor may select the winner from eligible entries received before the termination.
The Sponsor’s decisions regarding administration of the Sweepstakes are final, subject to applicable law.
Nothing in these Official Sweepstakes Rules limits any rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited under applicable law.
11. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the Sponsor will not be responsible for lost, late, incomplete, misdirected or technically corrupted entries or for technical failures that prevent an otherwise eligible person from entering the Sweepstakes .
By accepting the prize, the winner assumes responsibility for the transportation, handling and proper storage of the beef after taking possession of the prize.
Nothing in these Official Sweepstakes Rules excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by law.
13. Facebook and Instagram Disclaimer
This Sweepstakes may be advertised through Facebook and/or Instagram.
This Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Facebook, Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
By participating, each entrant acknowledges that Facebook and Instagram are not responsible for the administration of the Sweepstakes or the awarding of the prize and releases Facebook and Instagram from claims arising from or related to the Sweepstakes to the extent permitted by law.
Meta requires businesses administering promotions through Facebook to maintain official rules and eligibility terms and to include a Facebook release and acknowledgement that Facebook is not sponsoring or administering the promotion.
14. Governing Law
The Sweepstakes and these Official Sweepstakes Rules are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the applicable federal laws of Canada.
